About

Software that behaves like a tool, not a tenancy.

OwnDesk is a small independent shop. I build finished business applications and sell them outright: one file, one payment, yours to keep.

It started with a workshop that was running on a whiteboard and three spreadsheets. The commercial options cost more per month than the shop spent on coffee, needed a login, and stopped working the day the internet did. So I built the thing that should have existed: everything the shop needed, in one HTML file, opened by the browser already on the counter.

Three rules I do not break

Your data does not leave your computer

There is no server to send it to. That is not a privacy policy, it is an architecture — I could not read your records if I wanted to.

You pay once

No seats, no renewals, no tier that quietly loses the feature you bought it for. The price on the product page is the whole price.

I tell you what it cannot do

Offline single-file software cannot sync between users, send SMS, or take card payments inside the app. That is written on the product pages, not buried in a support article after you have paid.

How it is built

Every product shares one storage engine: records live in the browser database, and each change is written first as a line in a journal so a crash mid-save loses nothing. The same engine means the same reports, the same exports and the same keyboard habits across the range — and it means a fix in one product reaches all of them.

Several products also ship as a macro-free spreadsheet edition, so they open in Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets without asking anyone to trust a macro.

Talk to a person

Support is me. Write from the contact page and you get an answer from the person who wrote the code, usually within one working day.

Adrián
Adrián Founder and the whole support team

If something breaks, you are writing to the person who can fix it — not to a queue.

Do not take my word for it

The same products have been on sale on Etsy since 2026, where the reviews are written by buyers and moderated by someone who is not me.
