Fourteen days, no questions
If an OwnDesk product is not what you needed, write to me within 14 days of buying it and I will refund you in full. You do not have to explain why, and you do not have to send anything back, because there is nothing to send back. It is a file.
Write to contact@theowndesk.com from the address you used to buy, or quote your order number. I process refunds as I read them, usually within one working day. The money goes back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. Your own bank then takes as long as it takes, typically five to ten days.
Try it before you spend anything
Most products have a live demo linked from their page. It is the complete application with sample data already loaded, running in your browser. It costs nothing and it is the fastest way to find out whether a product fits the way you actually work.
Why the guarantee works this way
You are buying a file you cannot open until you have paid for it. Sellers of digital downloads are allowed to ask you to give up your right to withdraw before you download. I do not ask that. The 14 days stand whether or not you have already downloaded the file and used it.
If the file is faulty or wrong
If your download is corrupt, will not open, or is not the product you paid for, tell me. I will either fix it or refund you, whichever you prefer, and the 14-day limit does not apply to a fault on my side.
After the 14 days
The guarantee has expired, but write to me anyway. If something is broken I will fix it, at no charge and for as long as I sell the product. If I have described a product in a way that misled you, I will refund you whatever the date.
Custom builds
A custom build is quoted and agreed with you individually. The refund terms for that work are set out in the quote, in writing, before any work begins.
How to reach me
One address for everything, including refunds: contact@theowndesk.com. It reaches me directly, not a queue.
